One of the Sacred Valley´s best archeological site, the beautiful Inca city at Pisac. Set in the mountainside high above the village of Pisac, the ruins are must visit for anyone heading to the sacred valley. However, unbeknown to most tourists and rarely visited, the main part of the ruins is 25 to 30 minutes down the mountain site. If you are a Little adventurous and want to experience, then make sure you include a hike down through Pisac Ruins, and it may just be the highlight of your trip.
Pisac is one of the most important Inca sites in the Urubamba Valley. With its masonry of extraordinary quality, beautiful terraces and superior views of the valley, Pisac will definitely leave you speechless. You will start the walk approximately thirty minutes after the Pisac complex, where you will start a gentle descent. Shortly after, you will arrive at the Inca Cemetery of Pisac, with spectacular views of the agricultural terraces. It will explore the Kantorakay sector and continue the descent towards the Intihuatana. Just before reaching the main temple, you will arrive at an excellent viewpoint, where you will stop to enjoy a picnic lunch. Then continue for about an hour on an Inca trail to the town and market of Pisac where we will have time to explorer the artisanal market, or to enjoy a good drink in the panoramic restaurant next to the marked, later your vehicle will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. The total distance you will cover during your trek today is approximately 7 kilometers (4.3 miles), which equates to approximately 3 to 4 hours of walking.
